From our family to yours

We grew up with your great-grandparents.

For more than a hundred years, the same family has stood behind this counter in Alexandria. We baked for your great-grandparents and your grandparents; we made the cake at your parents' wedding. It would be our honour to serve your family — and, one day, your children's children. That is the whole of our ambition: another hundred years of belonging to you.

What is Délices?

Délices is a patisserie, café and restaurant in Alexandria, Egypt, established in 1922 and run by the same Greek family for over a hundred years. We're known for our pistachio mille-feuille, baklava and kunafa cheesecakes, Greek coffee, and a Greek-French-Egyptian menu — and for baking King Farouk's coronation cake in 1937.

Where is Délices located?

Our flagship is at 46 Saad Zaghloul Street, Raml Station, in downtown Alexandria, Egypt. We're open daily from 8 AM to 1 AM.

Does Délices deliver?

Yes. Cooked food is delivered across Alexandria through Talabat and MRSOOL. You can also order our coffee, jams, sauces and cakes, and request wholesale or catering, directly on this website.

Yes — we offer full food catering and a professional butler and waiter brigade for events of 100 guests or more, including weddings, galas and diplomatic receptions across Egypt. Request a proposal on our catering page.

Can I buy Délices coffee, jams and sauces in bulk?

Yes. Our coffee, whole-fruit jams and house sauces are available wholesale with a 10-unit minimum — popular with hotels, cafés and restaurants. Build an order on our wholesale page and we'll call you back to confirm pricing.

Is the King Farouk story real?

Yes. Délices baked the coronation cake for King Farouk in 1937 and his royal wedding cake to Queen Farida in 1938, and served Egypt's palaces, ministers and statesmen for decades. It's a documented part of Alexandria's history.
